"Istanbul has become one of the global centers of the zero waste vision"

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the International Zero Waste Forum, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı said, "The Zero Waste Movement has resonated in 193 countries around the world. Istanbul has become one of the global centers of the zero waste vision. On November 28th, we will be organizing a high-level international panel themed "Preventing Food and Water Waste - Embracing the Future."

In his speech, Minister Yumaklı stated that the Zero Waste Movement has resonated in 193 countries around the world. He said, "Under the leadership of our President and the esteemed First Lady Emine Erdoğan, the Zero Waste Movement has resonated in 193 countries worldwide. This movement has become a global program under the umbrella of the United Nations. It is a source of pride for all of us that this vision, born from our own land, has now become a shared value of humanity. Every experience shared in this forum will shape not only today's but also tomorrow's environmental understanding. Istanbul has now become one of the global centers of the zero waste vision. During the forum, ministerial representatives from 25 countries, 118 international institutions, organizations, and stakeholders, as well as representatives from 104 countries, scientists, youth, and civil society organizations, addressed a wide range of topics, from resource efficiency and the circular economy to food security and climate-friendly production."

Minister Yumaklı invited forum participants to a high-level international panel themed "Preventing Food and Water Waste - Embracing the Future" to be held on November 28th. He said, "I believe that the insights shared in this forum will shed light on the future and lead to new partnerships and concrete steps. This forum, which concludes here today, is actually a beginning for new collaborations. By working together, we can increase values, not waste; we can foster solidarity, not indifference. Here, in Istanbul, where continents meet, we will hold another major gathering on November 28th, under the leadership of our President and the leadership of First Lady Emine Erdoğan.
